The DESSA-mini product description: The only one-minute validated screener, strength based behavior rating scale assessment of students’ overall social and emotional competence for grades K-12. Completed by a teacher, out-of-school time staff, or parent.
The DESSA K-8 product description: Teacher-completed behavior rating scale comprised of 72 questions that measures the social and emotional strengths and needs of K-8 students. Measures 8 social and emotional competencies: Personal Responsibility (PR), Optimistic Thinking (OT), Goal-Directed Behavior (GB), Social-Awareness (SO), Decision Making (DM), Relationship Skills (RS), Self-Awareness (SA), Self-Management (SM).
DESSA-HSE (High School Edition): Teacher-completed behavior rating scale comprised of 43 questions that measures the social and emotional strengths and needs of 9-12 grade students. Measures 8 social and emotional competencies: Personal Responsibility (PR), Optimistic Thinking (OT), Goal-Directed Behavior (GB), Social-Awareness (SO), Decision Making (DM), Relationship Skills (RS), Self-Awareness (SA), Self-Management (SM).
DESSA HSE-SSR (High School Edition – Student Self-Report): A high school student self-assessment of social and emotional strengths and opportunities for growth, including gamified strategies and tools to bolster specific social and emotional skills.
