Digitarium FAQs

What is a Digitarium?

A planetarium helps students grasp abstract astronomical concepts and can spark interest in science — an easy-to-use, full-featured planetarium at your disposal, with no off-site field trip required. Zoom in on and label any object, demonstrate annual motion, display constellations from many cultures, and project your own content on any subject.

Do I need to learn how to use it?

Yes — you’ll need to attend a training session to learn how to use the Digitarium. The training session is free. Check the calendar to view and register for dates.

How much does it cost?

The Digitarium is free for member schools. Non-member schools pay a $150 usage fee plus a delivery fee.

How long can my school use the Digitarium?

Your school will have it for a week — delivered on a Friday and picked up the following Friday.

When is training?

Email Melissa DalCorobbo (mdalcorobbo@ciesc.org) for training dates for CIESC member school districts.

Are free curriculum materials available?

Yes — Digitalis Education Solutions provides free lesson plans for K-12 classes on their website.

What if something isn’t working?

Review the Digitarium manuals. For additional help, contact Melissa DalCorobbo (mdalcorobbo@ciesc.org) or Digitalis Education Solutions support directly.
