About Indiana Online

Indiana Online is the largest non-profit online supplemental course provider in the state, offering a wide variety of full-time, year-round, and summer courses online.  As a nationally accredited online program through AccredVEd powered by the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance (VLLA), we  partner with schools to offer over 180 rigorous supplemental courses, as well as a full-time virtual solution for middle and high school students. All courses meet Indiana State Standards, are NCAA approved, and our Advanced Placement courses have College Board approval. The majority of courses offered are developed by Indiana Online and are all taught by Indiana licensed teachers, each teaching within his or her content area.

Serving Students Year-Round

Indiana Online offers flexible enrollment to accommodate varying schedules. Our Dual Credit courses are offered for the fall and spring semesters. We offer a robust summer school program for high school students. Districts put their trust in us to help their students earn credits towards graduation. Be sure to check out our Academic Calendar for the next enrollment period.

Courses Developed by Experts

Indiana Online courses undergo a rigorous development process led by subject matter experts, instructional designers, and Quality Matters master reviewers. Each course is carefully evaluated by the Instructional Design & Curriculum Manager and full-time teachers using both the Quality Matters K-12 Rubric and NSQ standards. Our academic credibility is confirmed through external validation: core courses have NCAA eligibility approval, Advanced Placement courses meet College Board requirements, and students can earn Ivy Tech credits through our Dual Credit offerings.

More Than Just High School

In addition to our supplemental high schools courses, there are several other programs for schools to utilize for specific needs. Our full-time Academy program allows students in grades 5-12 to stay enrolled with their school but take some or all of their courses online. FlexED is offered to high schools and has two models that can be utilized in order to allow students to take courses online using the school’s licensed teacher (FlexED-C) or an Indiana Online licensed teacher (FlexED-T). The FlexED-T program in particular has all of the components to fill the need for both a teacher and curriculum.
