Administrative Supports
The Administrative Supports Department at CIESC serves member districts in the areas of administration, counseling and non-certificated (classified) staff. We offer a number of services to our members to help provide information, planning, facilitation and training to meet a myriad of needs in the following key areas:
Audits
We offer a wide variety of audits to provide district and site leaders with information to ensure the organization is functioning at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. This process includes one-on-one interviews and surveys with staff. School leaders select interview questions to ensure the audit focuses on the district priorities. The interviews and survey responses are then curated into a report providing a comprehensive view of the focus area and recommendations based on the findings.
Executive Mentoring
We offer our member districts 48 hours of mentoring for district administrators using a cadre of retired highly qualified personnel with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences to support new administrators in the district. Our mentors build a trusting relationship to help central office and site administrators meet the sometimes overwhelming challenges of their new positions.
Strategic Planning
We offer a comprehensive planning model that ensures high levels of community engagement and results in an actionable plan. CIESC will work collaboratively with district leaders to involve all stakeholders, generate a district status report, create the Mission, Vision, and Values statements, develop a Profile of a Learner, and design strategic goals, strategies, metrics, and timelines.
TEACHER EVALUATION TRAINING AND SUPPORT
Our Administrative Supports department can work with your school district to provide teacher evaluation and support services, including:
- Evaluation Training for Teachers
- RISE Certification & Training
- Asynchronous Coursework
- Customized District/School Support

Cohort Professional Learning Experience
Becoming a school leader can be both rewarding and challenging. We offer an opportunity to engage in ongoing leadership development with a network of other new leaders and mentors. As a newly hired school principal or assistant principal, you will gain knowledge to develop necessary skills to do the work effectively.
PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES
PLC Audit: This process includes school visits to collect observational data on what is currently occurring in PLCs. This data is used to make recommendations and collaborate with district and school decision makers to improve the effectiveness of the PLC system.
PLC Protocols & Sustainability: Professional Learning Communities are characterized by protocols that are implemented and practiced with fidelity. This professional learning experience provides leaders with time to explore how these protocols can be applied within their learning environment, as well as build plans for sustainability.
PLC Effective Teaming: Teams which work well together are driven by common goals and common beliefs around teaching and learning. These beliefs guide the decision-making of teams, including decisions around instruction and assessment. During this professional learning, teams will work to align their commitments to improve student learning.
PLC & Data Analysis Process: Data Analysis is an essential part of the PLC process. This professional learning focuses on utilizing data to make informed decisions about student learning.
COUNSELING SUPPORT
Career Coaching: CIESC is the recipient of the Career Coaching and Navigation Grant to support 11 school districts in implementing the Career Coaching Framework in conjunction with the Center for Higher Education (CHE.) Supports include an assessment of current practices, the development of a focused strategic action plan, and the facilitation and training of district teams to help them reach their goals.
CLASSIFIED STAFF SUPPORT
Professional Development: Many times our non-teaching staff is left out of professional learning opportunities. To achieve excellence, it’s essential that your institution fosters engagement, productivity, and professional growth amongst its non-certified staff. CIESC can work closely with district leadership to design targeted and effective training in areas such as hiring, evaluations, customer service, supervision, and harassment policies.
