Digitarium
Bring the stars to life, with our portable, digital planetariums.
CIESC lends out one Digitarium Zeta for free to member schools to serve students throughout the state of Indiana. The Zeta is a digital, portable planetarium that will engage youth in your community. In order to use the free digital planetarium, instructors must attend a FREE training session. Please check the upcoming training dates. One Starlab planetarium is still available for those that wish to continue using it. There will be no further training for Starlab.

Digitarium FAQs
A planetarium helps students grasp abstract astronomical concepts and can spark enjoyment and interest in science. Think of the possibilities of having your own easy to use, full-featured planetarium at your disposal. Avoid the headache and expense of organizing a fieldtrip to an off-site planetarium. You can use your projection system as often as you need to cover your subject matter fully, and you can tailor your lessons to your students.
Digitarium systems offer advanced features to excite and engage your students. Zoom in on and label any object; demonstrate annual motion; display constellations from many cultures ; and much more. The system’s vast capabilities make it relevant for audiences of all ages. Project your own content on any subject.
Affordable and flexible, a Digitarium digital planetarium system will revolutionize your astronomy teaching.
Yes, you will need to attend a training session in order to learn how to use the Digitarium. The training session is free. Please check the calendar to view and register for training dates.
The Digitarium will be free for member schools. If your school is NOT a member school you will have to pay a $150 usage fee plus a delivery fee.
Your school will have it for a week. It will be delivered on a Friday and it will be picked up on the following Friday.
