District Systems

District Systems

Explore professional learning opportunities with Administrative Supports so that you can improve district systems, optimize internal processes, and align needs. Our team of experienced professionals can work with your school district in a variety of areas to drive positive outcomes and support operational efficiencies. We will work closely with you to understand how your current system is working, what is going well, and what are some areas for improvement that will result in increased learning.

Behavior Management Systems

Our team partners with schools to strengthen multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for behavior by reviewing discipline policies, procedures, and behavior frameworks through a trauma-responsive lens. We support staff in building the skills needed to respond to student behavior with empathy and consistency, offering professional learning in trauma-informed practices, restorative strategies, and tiered interventions. Our goal is to help schools create supportive environments where all students can succeed and all staff feel confident and equipped.

Customer Experience/Service Training

How do schools create outstanding experiences for their employees, students, and communities? Through intentional touchpoints and interactions.

This interactive workshop will actively engage participants as we explore the principles of Customer Experience Design (CXD) and apply practical strategies to enhance engagement and satisfaction. We’ll focus on two crucial aspects:

  • Internal Customer Experience: Discover how a strong internal customer experience for teachers, administrators, and staff directly contributes to employee retention. By supporting your dedicated team, you foster a positive school environment that benefits everyone.
  • External Customer Experience: Learn how an exceptional external customer experience for students and families is vital for attracting and retaining students. A positive experience at every touchpoint strengthens your school’s reputation and community ties.

Through customer journey mapping and real-world examples, attendees will identify key touchpoints, uncover challenges, and develop actionable steps to maximize their school’s overall customer experience, both internally and externally.

District Staffing

Ensuring that Central Office staffing levels are in alignment with work responsibilities is a crucial function of district leadership; CIESC has the expertise to examine current staffing levels and analyze job descriptions and work flows to ensure efficiency and productivity. Using surveys and interviews, along with an analysis of job descriptions and duties, we will present recommendations to ensure alignment of staffing levels to work responsibilities.

EL Support Services

English Learner support services are an essential part of any successful district program. With the number of EL students continuing to rise, it is imperative that districts have a cohesive EL system in place. This entails not only effective staffing levels but also effective teaching strategies and support services. CIESC has staff members who are certified and trained in SIOP strategies, as well as other teaching techniques, and they can review your program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

Leadership Teambuilding (Working Genius)

CIESC has the experience and expertise to support your leadership teams at either the district or school levels to ensure that your key players are working together as productively as possible. It is especially crucial for new teams to come together and work harmoniously towards their key goals and to understand their different leadership styles and skill sets. One of the tools we can use to improve your teamwork is the “Working Genius” model developed by the Table Group. Our certified trainers will help you understand the 6 types of working genius, identify each preferred type, and learn how the entire team can work together to maximize team success.

Professional Learning Communities

Our Professional Learning Community (PLC) services are designed to help schools and districts maximize the impact of collaborative practices on student learning. Almost all school districts utilize the PLCs; how effective is this process in your district? Through a PLC Audit, we conduct school visits to collect observational data on current PLC activities, using this information to provide actionable recommendations and collaborate with district and school leaders to enhance the effectiveness of the PLC system.

Sustainability is key to lasting success, and our PLC Protocols & Sustainability training helps leaders explore and implement structured protocols with fidelity while developing plans to ensure long-term effectiveness.

School Safety Procedures

CIESC offers expert support in developing and strengthening school safety systems grounded in best practices for prevention, intervention, and recovery. With specialized training in the NASP PREPaRE Model, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention, Threat Assessment protocols, and trauma-informed crisis response, our team collaborates with district leaders and school safety teams to review existing safety procedures, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations. We help schools build comprehensive, coordinated plans that prioritize student and staff well-being while maintaining readiness for any crisis.

Teacher Evaluation Training and Support

Our Administrative Supports department partners with school districts to provide comprehensive teacher evaluation and support services tailored to meet your unique needs. We offer evaluation training for teachers, equipping educators with the tools to reflect on and improve their practices effectively. For those seeking to enhance their evaluation expertise, our RISE Training (designated provider as identified by IDOE) ensures alignment with state standards and best practices in performance evaluation. There is also an opportunity for customized training for districts that have adopted modified RISE or alternative evaluation tools.
