Indiana Career Collaborative

The ICC seeks to support schools to help students meet the new High School Graduation requirements as well as to prepare them for career exploration, engagement and experience. The ICC is a network that will link schools and districts to employer learning opportunities.

This will happen in 3 ways

CIESC will establish a Communication network through Metaimpact to link all districts, schools, intermediaries, businesses, and community organizations to improve coordination and communication.

CIESC Career Specialist will coordinate all meetings with the district leads and HS coaches and work closely with the Intermediary who will coordinate all meetings with the Intermediary Team and business and community organizations.

CIESC will work closely with the IDOE, the CHE, and the Office of Work-based Learning to ensure smooth implementation of state career readiness priorities and requirements and to establish statewide systems of tracking the Diploma and Career Readiness requirements.

CIESC will provide support and training in the following areas

  • Building successful school and community partnerships
  • Building School-Community Network Infrastructure
  • District Lead Training
  • School Coach Training
  • Distributive Leadership Training
  • Project Management
  • Career Counseling Framework Resources and Implementation Support

Starting with a pilot in Hamilton County and Hendricks County, the CIESC will work with our intermediaries (Invest Hamilton County and Hendricks College Network) to build an infrastructure that will link employers to our schools in a systematic way. From this pilot we will expand to other counties in our region so that eventually we will have a statewide network of support.
