Website with CIESC-created and curated resources and best practices in online and continuous learning activities.
INDIANAPOLIS (May 6, 2020) — Today, the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC) launched Keep Indiana Learning, a website to share resources and best practices for online and continuous learning activities for individual educators, schools, and districts looking to design or refine continuous learning plans. Keep Indiana Learning is a joint partnership of Indiana Online and PLConnect, both departments of CIESC.
In March, CIESC launched a Facebook group for Indiana educators statewide to have conversations about how to keep Indiana students learning during extended school closures. Since then, the group has grown to almost 1700 members. As the Facebook group helped facilitate discussion among Indiana educators, the need for a centralized format became clear.
“CIESC has a core belief in supporting and serving Indiana students and educators,” says Dr. Andrew Melin, CIESC Executive Director. “That belief necessitates that our CIESC team be innovative and progressive in adapting our services to meet stakeholder needs. Keep Indiana Learning is a prime example of CIESC taking an innovative and collaborative approach that will enhance our service to Indiana students and educators.”
Both Indiana Online and PLConnect will continue to add more resources to the Keep Indiana Learning website for a variety of subjects and formats, including:
- Curriculum and instruction
- Videos and webinars
- State resources
- National resources
- Continuous learning
- Professional learning opportunities
